Daniel Santana successfully defends his PhD with honors and earns an International Mention
Last Monday, July 7th, our colleague Daniel Santana successfully defended his PhD thesis, receiving the distinction of Cum laude and an International Mention!
Over the years working with us, Daniel has made remarkable contributions: he has published five scientific papers (including three as first author), completed a research stay at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, taught over 120 hours, and participated in three scientific cruises — two of them lasting more than 30 days.
Daniel began his journey with us during his undergraduate final project and has stayed with the team ever since. After seven years in the lab, we’ll definitely miss having him around — he’s the kind of officemate you can always rely on.
Daniel now embarks on a new stage in his career, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and programming. We’re proud of everything he’s accomplished so far and can’t wait to hear about his future achievements!
