As programmed, Néstor Marrero was able to deliver his presentation on Microsoft Teams and we can now upload a few of the interesting transparencies that accompanied his talk. The presentation, which lasted just over 20 minutes, was given in English.


Online PhD presentation María Couret Huertas 12th June 2020

Thesis presentations by PhD students usually held in Taliarte are once more up and running, this time online. María Couret, whose research is entitled "Seasonal variations in the abundance, biomass and diversity of the zooplankton and micronecton communities" was the first to present her work for this subject via the Microsoft Teams platform and completed it with a Powerpoint presentation to illustrate her arguments and data collection. The presentation, which came across very well despite some acoustic interference, was given in English.

As programmed, on Friday 24th January 2020, Abdallahi Limam was able to present his initial work and plans relative to his thesis entitled "Resources in the mesopelagic zone off the west-African coast: Implications for carbon flux". Once again, the abstract of his study can be accessed .

The seminar program in Taliarte for the academic year 2018-2019 came to a close last Friday, 7th June, with a presentation by Fabio de Paoli, during which he talked about his research work to date on "Biogeomorphological processes in the interaction between aeolian and slope systems in arid environments of volcanic islands".
